Lots to look forward to...
We’d like to wish you all a very belated Happy New Year and hope that 2017 is treating you well so far. Retro Electro ended 2016 on a real high playing New Year’s Eve at the Pick N Mix night at Exeter’s Phoenix club. We had a fantastic time and met some great people including Brighton band Iron Tyger whose path we’d love to cross again in the not too distant future. We have been busy bees already this year and have played some fabulous private parties. It’s always an honour to be asked to play at someone’s big day whether it’s a birthday, wedding, anniversary or whatever the occasion. We have a variety of party packages available and of course we are happy to try and match any requirements you may have so do give us a call and we can have a chat about it.
We have also been busy rehearsing. It may surprise you to learn this but a lot of hard work goes into getting the band gig fit and recreating your favourite 80s tunes ;-) We are hoping to be able to reveal to you soon the fruits of our labour and have been working on some new songs for the set. We are so lucky to have such a prolific decade from which to choose. Always on the lookout for suggestions for new songs to cover so do drop us a message if there’s an old favourite of yours that you’d like to hear and we’ll see what we can do.
Lots to look forward to. We are playing at Weston-Super-Mare’s newest thriving music venue the Reaper Bar in March. Have been hearing some really good things about this place. Shortly after, we are playing at Yesterday Once More 80s weekend at Unity Farm in Brean and are really excited to be playing not only with some other amazing tribute acts but also with Clare Grogan from Altered Images, Bucks Fizz and Dr and the Medics.
April sees us at the Tunnels for our first date there this year. Tickets are on sale and are going really quickly. This is a gig that always sells out so do grab yours sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment. We’re really looking forward at getting out there and catching up with you all. Do make sure you come over and say hi.
